The Last Internationale live at Rockpalast Bochum - rock with attitude and heart

On April 1, 2025, the American rock band The Last Internationale thrilled the audience at Rockpalast Bochum with an energetic concert. The band from New York, consisting of charismatic singer Delila Paz and guitarist Edgey Pires, is known for its mix of rock, blues and political activism. Their songs carry strong messages that address social grievances and social injustice - and that's what makes their unique sound so special.

The band was founded in 2008 and has since built up a loyal fan base thanks to its uncompromising attitude and powerful music. Their debut album We Will Reign was released in 2014, produced by Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine), and made them internationally famous. Live, The Last Internationale impress with their intense stage presence, rousing riffs and Delila Paz's impressive voice.

At Rockpalast, the duo showed why they are one of the most exciting acts on the rock scene. They were supported by Alice Atkins on bass and Pedro Vasconcelos on drums. They made a strong statement right from the start with “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Indian Blood”. The audience was electrified from the very first note. Between songs, Delila talked about social issues and showed a lot of closeness to the audience - a trademark of the band.

Particular highlights were “Soul on Fire” and “Hard Times”, which had the entire hall singing along. The intimate atmosphere of the Rockpalast underlined the emotional depth of the songs. New tracks from the upcoming album also found their place in the setlist and were received with enthusiasm.

The concert was a complete success - both musically and emotionally. The Last Internationale proved once again that rock music can be more than just entertainment: it can move, connect and make you think. As the concert photographer, I captured this wonderful concert in pictures. As the opening act, Double Crush Syndrome warmed up the audience.
